1. What is PowerPoint?

Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful slide show presentation program. It is a standard component of the company's Microsoft Office suite software. The program uses slides to convey information rich in multimedia. It is available on Windows, Mac, Android and IOS platforms along with a freely available cloud version named Microsoft 365.

2. Pre-requisites

• Basic computer skill is necessary to continue with this course.
• Microsoft Office version 2013 or greater is recommended.

3. Course Structure

The course is divided in to 7 sections. The first section is an introduction to PowerPoint and the pre-requisites for this course. The second section focuses on Slide Master View. The third section focuses on the animation features of PowerPoint. The fourth section is about transitions. The fifth section is extra features that are useful. In the sixth section we will focus on using the features we learned to create different types of presentations. Lastly in the seventh section we will conclude by recapping what we learned.
